The Association S.A.B.E.R. - in the portuguese language the initials stand for Saúde, Amor, Bem-Estar e Responsabilidade - which means in english Health, Love, Well-Being and Responsibility (the portuguese word "Saber" means "Know-How" or "Knowledge") was founded to accomplish an informative and educational work attached to business companies and collective groups concerning physical, mental and psychological health, sexuality and affective relationship, well-being and quality of life, and to promote and publicize actions of social responsibility.

Currently we develop the Project Sexuality with Quality, which deals with the subjects of love and sexuality, and the Project Mental Health, which was created to demystify, to inform and to orient appropriately about mental and emotional health, which are fundamental aspects in our private personal lives, and in our professional lives nowadays.

The Project Sexuality with Quality comprehends presentations (at the companies and collective groups) of the lecture entitled "Health, Sexuality and Professional Life - Is there time enough?" , which is an important moment to reflect about our sexuality nowadays, the taboos and myths which involve sexuality, and of divulging scientific information which reveal that today there are effective treatments and through these treatments almost everything can be cured or solved in a satisfactory way for a good sexuality. If we really understand the importance of sexuality in our lives, it should be enough just to devote a little time to the sexual/affective relationship and to consult or to ask advice to a specialist medical doctor whenever necessary.

The lectures are delivered by medical doctors experts in sexuality, who are specifically trained for the task of the project. The lectures are held at the business companies and collective groups, always aiming the targeted and focused public, with a minimum of 100 participants and approximate duration of 1 hour. During the lectures we distribute educative-medical brochures, gifts (writing pads with ink pens), we cast or draw lots of books written by renowned experts, and we gather research questionnaire - an important material for the survey we do. With this focus we have already achieved more than 280 well succeeded lectures. Besides, we offer individual personalized telephone attendance answering service, performed by skilled psychologists, through 0800-7744-525.

The Project Mind in Balance presents itself as an innovative resource in the preventive action and in the occupational medical management for companies, for it enables people who hold symptoms or who live together with others who present symptoms, to know more about stress, anxiety and depression, and to identify their symptoms, and to take preventive actions, hindering prejudices to interfere, and encouraging patients to look for the specialist medical doctor in order to go under adequate treatment. The lectures are delivered by psychiatrists and the individual telephone attendance answering service is performed by skilled psychologists who are trained for this orientation. Thus, we can collaborate for reducing the suffering or distress of the individual and to reduce the costs for society and for the company.

We believe that only the approach to the scientific knowledge can provide evolution and stimulate people to search for effective solutions for their needs. We utilize several ways to offer medical and psychological information. We accomplish lectures, we distribute educative-medical brochures to the general public, with the support of partner companies, we perform individual and specialized telephone attendance answering service through the line 0800-7744-525, and we offer articles, chats with experts, interviews, tests and links in our web site, so that more and more people can count on our informative and educational activities.

Other activities can be developed to attend specific needs. Get in touch with us to book lectures and ask for material through the telephone line: (11)5182-3266.
